Checkout blocks
Doubts come back at checkout: is this the right product, is the shop trustworthy? FiveOh’s checkout blocks repeat your social proof right there, next to each product in the order summary or as a block anywhere in the checkout.
Checkout blocks are Shopify checkout extensions, which only run on Shopify Plus.

Where to place it
- Checkout, in the order summary under each product: Line Item Rating, Line Item Share, Line Item Sold Count
- Checkout, anywhere: Store Rating, Rating Share
Adding a checkout block
- In your Shopify admin, open Settings → Checkout and click Customize.
- For a line item block, click Add app block in the order summary. For Store Rating and Rating Share, choose a spot anywhere in the checkout.
- Choose the FiveOh block, set it up in the sidebar and save.
Texts and structure
Checkout extensions cannot run Liquid or custom CSS, so checkout blocks have a simpler Structure setting: plain text with values in braces, like {rating}/{max} ({count}).
- Bold:
<b>and<strong>make a part bold. These are the only tags the checkout supports. - Other tags like
<div>are replaced by a space. In the default structures they only separate the stars from the text. - Translated words:
{pluralised_reviews},{pluralised_stars}and{pluralised_ratings}become “review” or “reviews”, “star” or “stars”, “rating” or “ratings”, in the checkout’s language and matching the count. Everything else in the Structure is shown as you write it.
The rating values:

Checkout cannot use your own colors. Star tone picks one of the checkout’s color tones for the stars: info (the default), warning (closest to gold), neutral, success or critical. Star size is small-200, small, base (the default) or large. For your own star images, paste their URLs from Shopify Files into the star icon settings.
Line Item Rating
Shows the rating of each product in the cart.

Line Item Share
Shows the share of reviews at a star level for each product.

Line Item Sold Count
Shows how many units of each product were sold in a period.

Update the text when you change the period.
Store Rating
Shows your rating across all reviews as a block in the checkout.

Rating Share
Shows the share of reviews at a star level across your store, as a block in the checkout.

Troubleshooting
- The blocks are not offered in the checkout editor: checkout extensions need Shopify Plus.
- A line shows nothing: the product has fewer reviews or sales than the minimum, or none in the chosen period.
- The text is in English on another language: only the words for “reviews”, “stars” and “ratings” are translated. Keep the rest of the Structure short, or use values only.
