Reviews.io

Reviews.io imports on demand from the app dashboard, with optional webhooks for real-time updates.

Setup

1. Open the app dashboard and add Reviews.io as a source.
2. Enter your Store ID - this is the domain you registered with Reviews.io (e.g. www.yourstore.com).
3. Select your Product identifier - this controls how the import matches review records to Shopify products:
   • SKU (default) - matches by product variant SKU
   • Barcode - matches by variant barcode
   • Shopify GID - matches by Shopify global ID
   • Numeric ID - matches by Shopify numeric product ID
4. Start an initial sync from the dashboard.

Choose the identifier type that matches how your Reviews.io reviews were originally collected.

Sync

• Run a Full sync or Incremental sync on the Reviews.io platform card to pull reviews.
• Check the sync status and history in the app dashboard after each run.

Real-time updates (webhooks)

For live updates without manual syncs, click Register webhooks on the Reviews.io platform card. New and updated reviews then push into your store automatically. Use Deregister webhooks to turn it off.

Notes

• Keep your product identifier strategy consistent - mixing types in the same source causes unlinked reviews.
• If results are unexpected, validate your Store ID and that the selected identifier type matches your source data.

Troubleshooting

• If sync fails, re-check your Store ID - it must match exactly what Reviews.io has on file.
• If reviews import without product links, try a different product identifier type and re-sync.
• If counts seem low, run another full sync after confirming the data exists on the Reviews.io side.
