Translations
Reviews are translated automatically into your store’s languages, so shoppers read them in their own locale.
How it works
- When a review is added or updated, its title and body are translated into each of your store’s published locales.
- The source language is detected automatically.
- Translations are stored on the review and registered as Shopify translation content, so display follows the shopper’s locale through Shopify’s native translation system — no widget, still server-rendered.
What you control
- Your store’s published languages determine the target locales. Add a language in Shopify and new reviews are translated into it.
- Nothing to place on the storefront: the Review List and other blocks render the locale-appropriate text automatically.
Troubleshooting
- If a review is not translated into a language, confirm that language is published in your Shopify markets/languages settings.
- Translations apply going forward; re-sync a source if you need older reviews reprocessed.
