Introduction

FiveOh Reviews on Metaobjects is the display layer for your product reviews. Collect reviews with FiveOh or keep the review app you already use. Either way, every review becomes a native Shopify metaobject, and FiveOh keeps ratings, review lists, AI summaries and sales figures ready as metafields on your products and your shop.

Because the data lives in Shopify, your theme renders it with Liquid, on the server, like any other product data. Reviews are in the page from the first byte: no widget, no layout shift, and readable for search engines and AI.

Two ways to use FiveOh

FiveOh grows with you. Most stores start with the first way and add the second where they need it.

1. Use the app blocks. Place blocks like Product Rating or Review List in the Theme Editor, then adjust colors, texts and layout in their settings. No code needed. See Displaying reviews.
2. Build on the data. Developers and agencies read the same metafields in their own sections and snippets, or through the Storefront API in a headless store. See Developers.

Both work together: a block and your own snippet can sit on the same page, reading the same reviews.

How these docs are organised

1. Getting started: Installation takes you to reviews on your storefront. How FiveOh works explains where the data lives and how it gets to the page.
2. Collecting reviews: import from Judge.me, Loox, REVIEWS.io, Trustpilot or the Shop app, or collect your own with storefront forms and post-purchase emails.
3. Managing reviews: moderate, reply, feature, verify, add rating attributes and translate.
4. Displaying reviews: every app block, its settings, and how to customise it down to the Liquid.
5. Developers: build your own review components on FiveOh’s data, with every metafield, metaobject and HTML attribute you can rely on. Every block page also has examples with a preview and the code.
